The Bermuda Farmers’ Market opened in the JJ Outerbridge Building at the Botanical Gardens today [Nov 28], with a variety of goods available for purchase.
The Farmers’ Market offers local farmers, fishermen, gardeners and artisans a venue to sell produce, plants and locally-made crafts directly to residents and visitors.
Director of Parks Lisa-Dawn Johnston previously said, “Over the years, the Farmers’ Market has increased both its’ clientele and the number and variety of vendors at the market.
.
“The Farmers’ Market Committee believes that a combination of factors including having a café/relaxation area, providing child-centered activities, and featuring a variety of community artists and special interest groups, will make the Farmers’ Market the place to go on a Saturday.
“We are thrilled to be able to host such a wonderful community event amidst the beauty of the Botanical Gardens.”
The Market will be open each Saturday, except during the Annual Exhibition, through June 25, 2016. The hours of operation will be 8.00am until 12.00pm.
