Truck Pulls Down Two Poles In Devonshire

BELCO crews were seen working in the South Road, Devonshire area just west of Devonshire Bay Road this afternoon [Nov 24] after a passing truck pulled down two streetlight poles.

A BELCO spokesperson said, “At approximately 12:50pm this afternoon a truck pulled down two streetlight poles near the Poinciana Road area on South Shore in Devonshire.

“At this time we are not aware of any customers being out of power,” BELCO added. “Weather permitting; the poles will be repaired tomorrow morning and the repair of the streetlight will be completed accordingly.”

    Question…Are the trucking companies required to pay for repairs if the truck driver is at fault?

      driver not at fault this time one of the poles was leaning into the road and i knew as soon as a truck that was 10 foot or higher went by heading east and stayed on its side of the road it would hit the pole
