Court: 19-Year-Old Sentenced To 10 Days In Jail

Appearing in Magistrates Court this morning [Dec 8], a 19-year-old man was fined and sentenced to 10 days in prison for driving whilst disqualified for the second time.

After considering a Social Inquiry Report, Magistrate Archie Warner sentenced St George’s resident Marcus Rushe to 10 days in prison following his plea of guilty to riding whilst disqualified, for the second time, on 24th October 2015.

Mr Rushe was also handed down a $500 fine for riding whilst disqualified, two weeks earlier, on 10th October 2015; and $400 for speeding at 71 kph on 22nd July.
