Lejaun Simmons To Participate In MLS Combine

The Bermuda Football Association announced that Lejaun Simmons will travel to Martinique from December 31st to January 6th to participate in the 2016 Major League Soccer Caribbean Combine.

“Lejaun has been a part of the National program through all age groups. He made his full senior debut at 19 playing in the Digicel Caribbean Cup vs Haiti. He spent two years at Ilkeston Football Club. Lejaun now plays locally for Robin Hood Football Club,” the BFA said.

“The Major League Soccer Caribbean Combine is an annual showcase ofCaribbean football talent between the ages of 18-21 organized jointly by Major League Soccer and the Caribbean Football Union in 2013, with the inaugural combine being held in January 2014.

“The combine provides opportunities for players to be observed by MLS scouts with the hopes of being invited to the MLS Combine, an invite-only showcase event held in Fort Lauderdale, Florida prior to the annual MLS SuperDraft. Jonte Smith and Drewonde Bascome are players that have previously travelled to the combine from Bermuda.”
