Air Berlin Flight Diverts For Sick Passenger
An Air Berlin flight on its way to Montego Bay, Jamaica landed at Bermuda’s LF Wade International Airport at approximately 3.30pm this afternoon [Jan 10] after a passenger on board took ill.
Air Berlin Flight #7356 departed Munich International Airport in Germany this morning and was passing by the island when the pilot reported the need to divert.
Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service personnel met the aircraft at the airport terminal where the sick passenger was disembarked and transported by ambulance to King Edward Memorial Hospital for treatment. The aircraft was fueled and is expected to resume its journey to Jamaica this afternoon.
Bermuda attracted 50,000 visitors last year …. That’s roughly about the amount of tourist who fly over the Island per week every week ! So what is Bill Hanbury and the Tourism Minister doing about it …. Nothing !
your a complete MORON, do you even think before you type????I goy it lets put a big billboard up in the sky to say Stop here we are rude crude and overly expensive but YOU THE WORLD OWE US.
This is the biggest accomplishment by the Bermuda Tourism Authority to date.
These huge jets fly over on a daily, delivering 100′s to the competition…. when the most we can get excited about is a diversion… Have we talked with Air Berlin? Lufthansa? Alitalia? Surely we can get twice a week charters in the off season. PS.. I trust the one stay-over we did receive is recovering well.
