Court: 45-Year-Old Man Denies Drug Charges

Appearing in Magistrates Court, a 45-year-old Warwick resident denied four charges and was granted $10,000 bail.

Mr Jay-Jua Tucker pleaded not guilty to four charges, with all charges alleging action on 21st August 2015 in Warwick.

The charges were that he possessed cannabis with the intent to supply; possessed a metal grinder, possessed a digital scale and possessed cash in the amount of $81,070 and which he knew to be the proceeds of illegal activity.

The Crown Prosecutor told Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo that the amount of cannabis was alleged to be just over 20 grams.

Trial was set for April and bail was set at $10,000 with Mr Tucker required to find one surety in a like amount.
