First Division Football: BAA Defeat YMSC 8 – 5

A total of thirteen goals were scored in this First Division make-up match at the BAA Field, with the home team earning a 8 – 5 win over the Young Men Social Cub.

At the end of the first half BAA held a 5 – 0 lead, and the second half produced 8 goals with Young Men’s Social Club at one point pulling within one.

It only took four minutes for BAA to take the lead, Josh Hardtman scored, the lead was doubled four minutes later when Marcus Ming scored. In the 26th minute the lead was 3 – 0 when Willie Clemons scored, Troy Tucker extended the lead to 4 – 0 in the 37th minute and then when Nassir Richardson scored in the 40th minute BAA held that 5 – 0 lead.

Five minutes into the second half Saki Tuzo put the Young Men Social Club on the board, but BAA’s five goal lead was restored the Hardtman scored his second goal of the game in the 53rd minute.

Tuzo would score yet again in the 60th minute to make the score 6 – 2, an own goal seven minutes late for Young Men Social Club would make the score 6 – 3. Two minutes later Tuzo would complete his hat-trick pulling Young Men Social Club within two.

Young Men Social Club would then come within one when Clay Darrell the League Leading goalscorer found the back of the net in the 81st minute, but five minutes later BAA would get some breathing room when Hardtman concluded his hat-trick, Clemons would then end the game as a contest in injury time when he converted from the left side of the box.
