Hockey: BHF Women’s Division Results
During the latest round of ladies field hockey, the Bluebirds defeated the Swallows, while the Longtails and Canaries played to a 1-1 draw.
Bluebirds 3 Swallows 1
The Bluebirds earned a hard fought 3 – 1 victory over the Swallows. The Bluebirds went ahead in the 8th minute with a Field Goal off the stick of Pier Simons, in the 40th minute t was 2 – 0 to the Bluebirds when Jill Finnigan scored a Field Goal. 56 minutes into the contest Finnigan scored from a Penalty Corner to give the Bluebirds a 3 – 0 lead, before the Swallows pulled a goal back in the 62nd minute with a Field Goal off the stick of Vanessa Paulos.
Longtails 1 Canaries 1
The Longtails got on the scoreboard first in the 23rd minute getting a Field Goal off the stick of Connie Betts, but the Canaries equalized in the 44th minute getting a Penalty Corner goal from Claudine Pullen as the two teams shared the points with a 1 – 1 draw.
