Results: Chipangama Wins Bermuda 10K Race
The Bermuda Marathon Weekend continued this morning [Jan 16] with the running of the Bermuda 10K Run and Walk taking place under weather conditions that included rain and high winds.
Following his third place performance during the Front Street Mile Elite Race, Jordan Chipangama came back and won the 10K race with a time of 31:23.
Twenty three seconds later Bermuda’s Lamont Marshall placed second clocking 31:46 while Nick Swimburn finished third recording a time of 31:48.
Faye Fullerton won the ladies title crossing the line seventh overall with a time of 35:37. Charlotte Arter was the second female finisher and 8th overall with a time of 35:48 while Heather Kampf finished 10th overall and was the third female finisher clocking a time of 36:22.
Rose-Anna Hoey was the first Bermuda female across the line placing thirty fourth overall with a time of 42:15. Full Bermuda 10K Run and Walk results from Bermuda Timing can be found here.
How do these guys and girls run so fast?? It’s truly inspiring. Congratulations to everyone today – terrible conditions. Should be a great day of running tomorrow though, good luck to everyone, particularly those taking on the full marathon!
