Tucker’s Point Junior Developmental Tennis
The Tucker’s Point Junior Developmental Tennis Championships were recently held, with six winners emerging, each of whom won Tucker’s Point junior tennis scholarships and term clinic packages to help them continue to hone their skills.
The winners included Amira El Karfa, Andrew Phillips, Airez Gilbert-Simons, Seb Smith, Grace McFadden, and Antonio Warner.
A spokesperson said, “We had over 250 people come to the club over the weekend to be a part of the event, with 70 entries in the three divisions.
“We had 24 in the Green Ball division, 29 in the Orange Ball division, and 17 in the Red Ball division, marking one of the biggest local developmental tennis tournaments in the last 10 years.”
In the 8 and Under Red Ball Girls Division, Amira El Karfa was the winner, followed by Sophie Latour, Madison Ebbin, and Zoe Mir.
In the 8 and Under Red Ball Boyss Division, Andrew Phillips was the winner, followed by Seb Smith, Zach McGuire, and Jonny Bart.
In the 10 and Under Orange Ball Girls Division, the winner was Airez Gilbert-Simons, followed by Andrea Grandisson, Milly Wetherhill, and Evi Robb.
In the 10 and Under Orange Ball Boys Division, the winner was Seb Smith, followed by Antonio Warner, Andrew Phillips, Zach McGuire, and Jamie Talley.
In the 12 and Under Green Ball Girls Division, the winner was Grace McFadden, followed by Britney Outerbridge, Airez Gilbert-Simons, and Jae Gibbons.
In the 12 and Under Green Ball Boys Division, the winner was Antonio Warner, Bobby Bart, Andrew Phillips, and Seb Smith.
