Blue & Pink Route Ferry Services Suspended

February 8, 2016

[Updated] The Department of Marine & Ports Services have advised that they suspended the blue route ferry service between Hamilton and Dockyard and the Pink route ferry service between Paget and Warwick due to inclement weather, and said the “suspension of service will remain in effect until conditions improve.”

The Bermuda Weather Service has issued a Gale Warning for today, and their forecast said, “A low is directing gale force southwesterly winds over Bermuda. A few showers this morning will ease this afternoon. Winds ease strong tonight then increase gale force with a few showers tomorrow as another low passes.”

Update 4.14pm: The Department of Marine & Ports Services has updated its ferry advisory, saying that the Blue route ferry service between Hamilton and Dockyard remains closed, the Pink route ferry service is open except for Belmont ferry and the Green route [Rockaway, Cavello Bay & Watford Bridge] is open.
