February 24, 2016

Three men appeared in court in the UK today [Feb 24] following a shooting at the Essex home of Timothy Mardon, a businessman who divides his time between Bermuda and the UK.

“Timothy Mardon remains in hospital after being shot at his home earlier this month,” ITV reports. ”He’s undergone surgery but may lose his leg.”

“Charlie Simms, Kalebh Shreeve and Christopher Bergin are accused of acting together on three charges of aggravated burglary, causing GBH with intent and possession of a firearm. All three have been remanded into custody and will appear at Chelmsford Crown Court on 23 March.”

The East Anglian Daily Times report that “It follows an incident in which a man was shot in the thigh through a locked bedroom door as he barricaded himself away from intruders.

“The victim was confirmed today as businessman Timothy Mardon, and the court heard his leg may still not be saved,” the Times added.
