March 23, 2016

The AG Show Ltd announced that the Bank of Butterfield has pledged its financial support to the upcoming 2016 Bermuda Agricultural Show, to take place at the Botanical Gardens from April 14 – 16, 2016.

A spokesperson said, “The AG Show Ltd – registered charity number 968 was established in Bermuda last year as a not for profit company limited by guarantee. This year’s show is being produced through a public–private initiative formalised through memorandum of Understanding between the AG Show Ltd and the Government of Bermuda.

“The much needed financial support will assist with offsetting the cost of hosting this year’s show. Established last February the AG Show Ltd and its committee members along with the Government of Bermuda have been hard at work with the logistical planning and promotion of the show.”

Tina Smith Account Associate & Media Coordinator, Marketing & Communications stated “Butterfield is pleased to support the 2016 Ag Show through financial support and employee volunteers. The Ag Show is an important tradition in Bermuda; one that celebrates our agriculture and heritage and promises to be fun for the whole family.”

Bank of Butterfield joins the list of many great local and international companies who have pledge their support in ensuring the success of this year’s show.

Is there absolutely no govt. involvement in this event..?? Do the organisers of this event have to pay for the use of the grounds??

    • Coffee says:

I’m sure that at least some of the taxpayers money has been set aside for the AG Show . If they could find money for a non Bermudian event on the Cabinet grounds , then surely there’s a little something in the kitty for the homegrown .

      • Zevon says:

Non-Bermudian event on Cabinet grounds? Are you talking about the actress and the fake hunger strike?

  2. Medical marijuana, licensing, taxation….and behavioural modification…through license holders pre requiem…then you will have money and tourists!
