Bermuda Pilot Gig Club To Host Silly Regatta
The Bermuda Pilot Gig Club is getting set to hold its Silly Regatta on Sunday, March 13 from 1.00pm to 4.00pm.
The event will take place at the East End Mini Yacht Club at 4 Convict Bay Lane in St. George’s.
The event poster says, “Regatta racers are dressing to impress in their best silly dress.
“All proceeds will support the men’s and ladies’ racers headed to the 2016 World Pilot Gig Championships in the Isles of Scilly.
“There will be crazy hats, costumes, wigs, and other items for racers and spectators to adorn. Come with cash to sponsor the craziest outfits and help the teams win the award for best dressed.
“This event is free and open to the public. Spectators can purchase food and drink at the Club’s BBQ and bake sale on-site [cash only].”
