Police Responding To Report Of Bomb Threat

[Updated] Police are responding to a report of a bomb threat at EFC electrical company in Pembroke this morning [March 16], saying they are responding in “an abundance of caution.”

A police spokesperson said, “Police are currently are responding to a report of a bomb threat at EFC electrical company at Mills Creek in Pembroke. We are responding in the abundance of caution.”

Update 12.33pm: The police said, “Police and first responders attended a report of a bomb scare at ESC Limited on Mills Creek in Pembroke at 11:13am today.

“In the abundance of caution the building was evacuated and the Explosive Ordinance Disposal Unit is currently in the process of assessing and checking the building.

“An update will be given as soon as we receive more information.”

Update 12.42pm: The police confirm the building “received all clear”. The Royal Bermuda Regiment were also on hand to provide specialist assistance in case it was required.
