Tech Problem With 911 Emergency Hotline [Fixed]

[Updated] The 911 emergency hotline is currently experiencing problems, and anyone needing assistance from fire and ambulance is advised to call 292-5555.

At 2.00pm this afternoon, a Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said, “Please be advised that the 911 emergency hotline is experiencing some problems and anyone needing assistance from fire and ambulance should contact the emergency dispatch centre on 292-5555 and once prompted press 1 which will immediately connect with assistance.

“We will notify you once this issue has been resolved.”

Update 4.41pm: The BFRS extended their thanks to the public for their patience and said the “problem with the 911 lines has been rectified and they are now operable.”
