Court: 58-Year-Old Denies Threatening Words

Appearing in Magistrates Court this morning [May 16], a 58-year-old man denied having a bladed article in his possession and threatening to “chop” another man.

Mr John DaCosta denied that he used offensive words to another man in St Georges on 13th May 2016. Mr DaCosta denied that he told the man: “I’m going to chop you. I’ve been looking for you to try to kill you.”

Mr DaCosta also denied having a bladed article in his possession at the time.

Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo set trial for July, granted Mr DaCosta bail at $3,000, and ordered him to have no contact with the complainant.
