Court: Three Appear In Connection With Murder
Two men charged with being involved in the September 2012 murder of Lorenzo Stovell appeared at this morning’s [May 2] Supreme Court Arraignment Session where they pleaded not guilty, while a third man was charged in Magistrates Court with being involved with the same murder.
Zikai Cann plead not guilty to the murder of Mr Stovell and with using a firearm whilst committing the offence, while Cordova Simons-Marshall plead not guilty to handling a firearm and being an accessory.
Separately, at this morning’s Plea Court session in Magistrate’s Court, a third man, Malachai Brown was charged with the indictable offence of being concerned with others in the 2012 murder of Mr Stovell and using a firearm to commit the offence.
Brown, 28, was not required to plead as the case can only be tried in the Supreme Court and the Court ordered he be held on remand.
Mr Stovell was fatally shot while sitting outside Woody’s on September 23, 2012.
