DeSilva-Andrade Gets 2016 Paralympic Spot

Bermuda’s Paralympic Team has increased to two members with news that Yushae DeSilva-Andrade has been allocated a spot in the 2016 Rio Paralympics.

DeSilva-Andrade will compete in the Boccia Individual BC2 event after recently competing in the BISFed 2016 World Individual Championships in Beijing.

The official Paralympics website says the 2016 Paralympic Games will be held from 7-18 September 2016, with around 4,350 athletes from more than 160 countries will travel to Rio to compete in 526 medal events in 22 different sports.

Ms DeSilva-Andrade will be joined by sprinter Jessica Lewis in representing Bermuda at the 2016 Paralympic Games.
