Photos: Relay For Life 24 Hour Walk Fundraiser

May 27, 2016

Over 3000 participants have registered to take part in the Relay For Life event which got underway at 6.30pm this evening [May 27] at the National Sports Centre and continues until tomorrow night.

The team based fundraising event helps to raise awareness and funds to support cancer programmes in Bermuda. During the 24 hours, team members take it in turns to walk around the track at the Sports Centre which has been turned into a tented village for the event.

Ninety-five per cent of the amount raised will remain in Bermuda and will support the Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre. The rest will go to the American Cancer Society’s Global Relay For Life in the US.
