Stevedoring Sponsors UDP Junior Dance Event
Stevedoring Services Limited, a subsidiary of Polaris Holding Company, demonstrated its support for United Dance Productions through cash sponsorship of tonight’s [May 28] UDP Junior Dance Company presentation, Young, Gifted and Black which is being held at Ruth Seaton James.
Warren Jones, Chief Executive Officer of Polaris Holding Company Ltd, hands over sponsorship funds to Suzette Harvey, Artistic Director at United Dance Productions.
A spokesperson said, “The members of the UDP Junior Company have been specifically chosen and represent the most talented and dedicated members of UDP’s Dance School. Junior Company members are required to take ballet which is a strong foundation for disciplined training. This year’s production features a genre-bending mix of dance forms and choreography.
“For the 2016 production, Warren Jones, Chief Executive Officer, Polaris Holding Company Ltd. met with Suzette Harvey, Artistic Director, United Dance Productions, at the City of Hamilton Docks to present the school with a cheque for $1,500 which represented costs associated with the audiovisual element of the production.
“The United Dance Production dancers, this week, delivered a high energy parade performance and were a highlight of the 2016 Bermuda Day Heritage parade. The annual recital will take place on June 10th and 11th.”

“Young, Gifted and Black”. Serious?? The dancers have to be black to benefit from this gift? Imagine the uproar if it was “Young, Gifted and White”! There would signs made, faux hunger strikes & protesting in the streets.
