Fairmont Hosts Taxi Drivers Appreciation Event
Fairmont Southampton hosted an event this morning [June 1] in appreciation of professional taxi and minibus drivers in Bermuda.
Local drivers at two locations — Dockyard and the Great Sound Lawn at Fairmont Southampton — were invited to drive-by for a complimentary boxed breakfast with beverages, fresh fruit and delicious pastries from the hotel’s kitchen, alongside a small gift.
This year marks the second year of Fairmont Southampton’s driver appreciation event. Today, more than 250 breakfasts were served in total, which is more than twice as much than the year before.
Shelley Meszoly, Regional Director of Sales & Marketing, commented: “As Bermuda’s largest resort, Fairmont Southampton takes pride in our strong connection to the community.
“This is our way of saying a heartfelt thank you to Bermuda’s professional drivers who provide invaluable service for our guests. We were delighted to see that the event resonates with so many drivers and that it was even more popular than last year.”
Great to see. Its nice to see ouur businesses and people remembering to say thanks to our support people.
What a great idea. Credit to Fairmont and the managers and staff for going above and beyond to recognize our taxi drivers. Fairmont truly is an excellent management company and we are fortunate to have them here in Bermuda.
They never do this for us Bus Drivers.
Don’t you bie’s and women get enough $ now at the publics expence? Be happy for what you get and allow others to be recognized also
That is pretty darn cool if you ask me. Talk about good relationship building with service providers. A tip of the hat to Fairmont.
Bus drivers go on strike to much!
Tell them to lower prices while you’re at it…
What a great idea!
