Free Paddling Program Launched For Students

June 12, 2016

The funds raised from the recently held Devils Isle Challenge — which consisted of a 40-mile race around Bermuda — have been used to establish a free paddling program for Bermuda’s youth.

“We launched the program this Thursday, June 9th, with ten students from the Dalton E. Tucker Primary Eco Club who have been working on their trash free lunch program,” Christian Shaw said.

“They spent two hours paddling from SurfSup Bermuda at 9 Beaches, and were delighted to witness a number of turtles.

“This is the first of many sessions to be carried out throughout the summer with the support of Ian Bridges and other local paddlers!”
