The Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute [BUEI] will be holding the second installment of its ‘Kids Hour Saturdays’ starting on Saturday [July 24].

A spokesperson said, “An exciting and engaging hour for kids and parents alike! Continuing this Saturday, July 24th, the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute presents its second installment of ‘Kids Hour Saturdays’ at 11am and 2pm respectively.

“The hour features the screening of a short film followed by a book reading for children ages 5-12 years.”

“Last month, between the captivating film and our engaging storytellers, both kids and parents alike had a great time,” said Karla Lacey, BUEI CEO.

“Saturday’s film and story are just as fascinating.”

The spokesperson said, “The second film featured for Kids Hour Saturdays is The Shark Whisperer, offering a new perspective of the ocean’s greatest predator. Octopuses One to Ten, a book by Ellen Jackson and Robin Page, will be read shortly after.

“This ocean themed activity is free for members [Single Parent thru Adventurer Tier] and $2.50 per child for non-members.

“There is no fee for caregivers, and they must stay on site for the hour. Parking is free and the Oceans Gift Shop will also be open, giving an additional option for adults during the hour.

“The next Kids Hour Saturday, which provides children and their parents or caregivers a fun and meaningful way to learn about the ocean, will take place on Saturday, August 28th.

“Space is limited and advance registration is encouraged. To register your child for BUEI’s Kids Hour Saturdays, please call 294-0204.”
