Court: Two Charged After Armed Home Invasion
Appearing in Magistrates Court this morning [July 5] two men were charged in connection with the armed home invasion that occurred in the Barracks Close, St George’s area last week.
21-year-old Wakeem Philpott and 23-year-old Detre Ford were charged with trespassing whilst possessing a firearm and also with being in possession of a firearm.
Philpott, alone, was also charged with attempting to discharge a firearm, allegedly a Smith & Wesson 9mm.
As the charges must be heard in the Supreme Court, neither defendant had to enter a plea.
Magistrate Archie Warner remanded them both into custody until the August Supreme Court Arraignment.
