Olympics: Bermuda Sailors Continue Competition

Ceci Wollmann was 33rd and 35th today in the women’s laser radial Olympic competition.
Maria Erdi of Hungary and Xu Lijia of China won the third and fourth races of the sailing completion.
Overall, Wollmann is now 34th in the 37-boat fleet. Lijia leads the laser radial fleet with seven points.
Annalise Murphy of Ireland is second on 12 points with Anne-Marie Rindom of Denmark third on 13 points.
In the laser fleet, Cameron Pimentel was 41st in the third race and 28th in the fourth heat of the 46-boat fleet.
Pavlos Kontides of Cyprus and Julio Alsogaray of Argentina won the third and fourth races respectively.
Overall, Pimentel is 39th with 100 points. Alsogaray leads the way on seven points with Croatia’s Tonci Stipanovic second on 13 points and Sam Meech of New Zealand third on 14 points.
