Court: Man Admits Causing Damage At Office

Appearing in Magistrates Court today [Sept 12], a 23-year-old man admitted damaging glass panels at the Financial Assistance office in Hamilton.

Dwayne Hassan admitted willfully and unlawfully damaging glass panels at Global House on 15th February 2016, causing damage of $1,326.

The Crown Prosecutor told Senior Magistrate Juan Wolffe that in February 2016, Mr Hassan had gone to the Financial Assistance office in Global House on Church Street, and that on emerging from that office proceeded to damage glass panels of the building.

The Senior Magistrate ordered a Social Inquiry Report, set sentencing for October, and granted Mr Hassan bail at $2,000 with one surety.
