[Written by Don Burgess]
Daymond John will be the featured guest speaker at Global Entrepreneurship Week in Bermuda.
Mr. John is founder, president and CEO of FUBU and is one of the investors on the reality TV show Shark Tank.
Global Entrepreneurship Week is scheduled for November 14 – 20 and is being presented in partnership by the Bermuda Economic Development Corporation and Nesi Armstrong.
Ms. Armstong is an entrepreneur herself as she is executive chief officer and president Island Organics Limited, Bermuda.
She told Bernews, “There will be multi-media lectures by world-class entrepreneurship educators, as well as hands-on action learning exercises for audience members, which includes an opportunity for select members to participate in a live Shark Tank-style mock pitch/ask competition and a live in-person keynote and Q&A session by the co-star of ABC TV’s Shark Tank, Daymond John.”
“Having him here for Global Entrepreneurship Week is so fitting especially since he started from nothing but with an idea and a vision.”
She added Global Entrepreneurship Week promises to be a high energy, interactive experience for aspiring entrepreneurs, small business owners, students of business, corporate executives, or anyone who might be interested.

Ms. Armstrong will also be one of the featured speakers. “I will share how I am – growing my company, personal brand as a passionate entrepreneur, motivational speaker and my success with Raw Elements as the Official Sunscreen for the 35th America’s Cup.”

Wow! Sounds exciting! Best wishes to all of our brave entrepreneurs!
I find him the least interesting of the sharks. He’s riding the FUBU coattails but that brand hasn’t been relevant since the 1990s. But to be fair this inclusion gives some life into the GEW as the initiative has a poor success rate with helping to develop small businesses.
