Land Rover BAR’s Base Under Construction
Land Rover BAR’s Bermuda base is “rapidly under construction” with “foundations set and framework up,” the sailing team said.
A tweet sent by the team says, “Foundations set & framework up, the team’s Bermuda base is rapidly under construction.”
Land Rover BAR includes four time Olympic gold medalist Sir Ben Ainslie, who has previously said that “Bermuda is one of my favourite racing venues in the world,” adding that “the people are lovely, and passionate about sailing and sport.”
Land Rover BAR are one of six teams competing in the America’s Cup, with the British team joined by defending champion Oracle Team USA, Emirates Team New Zealand, Artemis Racing from Sweden, SoftBank Team Japan, and Groupama Team France.
