Commission Of Inquiry: Five Witness Statements

Charged with investigating the findings of the Auditor General’s report, the Commission of Inquiry commenced their Public Hearings last week and are continuing this week, with the most recent witness statements being from Chief Financial Officer for the Ministry of Public Works Thomasina Hassell, Financial Controller at the Department of Education Anil Chatergoon, Financial Controller for the Department of Airport Operations Andrew Morille, Kenneth Dill who served as Head of the Civil Service in 2008, and Senator Vic Ball who served as the Purchasing Officer for the Ministry of Public Works/Works & Engineering from 2004 until 2011.

Chaired by former Bermuda Court of Appeal judge Sir Anthony Evans, the members of the Commission of Inquiry include lawyer and former MP John Barritt, businesswoman Fiona Luck and businessman Kumi Bradshaw. Bernews live streamed the hearings on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday of last week, as well as Monday and Tuesday of this week.
