Court: Man Pleads Guilty To Having Bladed Article
Appearing in Magistrates Court, a 46-year-old man pleaded guilty to having a bladed article and was ordered to attend the Mental Health Court.
Jason Liburd pleaded guilty to having a bladed article in the form of a kitchen knife with an eight inch blade; and not being at his place of abode, possessing an article in the form of a wrench and which was intended for use in committing a crime. Both offences took place in Hamilton in April 2016.
The Crown Prosecutor told the Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo that patrolling police had seen Liburd acting suspiciously near a rank of parked cycles. They stopped and questioned him and discovered the knife and wrench.
The defendant was ordered to attend the Mental Health Court.
