Solar Panels Installed At RUBiS Warwick Station
BE Solar has recently completed the installation of 64 SolarWorld solar electricity panels on the RUBiS Warwick Gas Station on South Shore.
“The solar panels will provide Warwick Gas with a guaranteed 30-year supply of renewable energy thanks to SolarWorld’s industry leading warranty. The 17.92kW system will offset carbon dioxide emissions by 586 metric tonnes,” the company said.
“Installing this large solar array has the equivalent environmental impact of planting 169 full grown trees. The solar array and roof attachments were completed over a 7-day period by three Bermudians who have been trained in electrical and solar installations and work full time for BE Solar.
“The system feeds directly into the gas station meter and consumed on the property in real time.
Teddy Terceira, General Manager of RUBiS Warwick Gas, had this to say: “We are thrilled to have partnered with BE Solar for this exciting project.
“Their SolarWorld panels and unique roof attachment system are the perfect fit for us because our location demands a robust and high quality set up, as we experience heavy salt exposure and high winds being so close to the waters of south shore. With the best solar system warranty available in Bermuda, the choice was clear.”
Travis Burland, Sales & Engineering Director at BE Solar stated “BE Solar are really proud to have installed the highest quality glass on glass SolarWorld panels on the first gas station to go solar in Bermuda. Our superior 30-year warranted panels are matched with the most efficient and passionate solar installation team on the island.”
