Video: CITV Short Film On Airport Project
The Bermuda Government’s television station CITV has produced another short film on the Airport Redevelopment Project entitled “The Best Option for Bermuda.”
A Government spokesperson said, “This information piece discusses the options of building a new airport terminal, the employment opportunities that will be available, the risks of tendering as well as the benefits of the Government to Government approach.
“The 15 minute programme is being aired on CITV beginning Thursday, November 3rd until – Thursday November 10th at 5:00am, 3:00pm, 7:30pm and 9:00pm. The film will also air on ZBM TV 9 at 8 pm on Monday, November 7th.”
CITV’s first film on the airport project — — called “On Borrowed Time” — was released in July of this year.
why is CITV being used for political purposes?
That’s the reason it was originally introduced ! Remember ?
This is still outrageous. The media should not be carrying Government propaganda. Imagine the complete meltdown there’s be if the PLP did this. SMH!
They did do this… the PLP created it for that exact purpose.
citv is the government tv channel
The ‘Best’ option? Sooo what are the other options?.. Oh right, no otther options were sought…. got you.
I smell a rat…what a load of bulls#!t fed to the public on a local tv channel that should NOT BE USED for political purposes!!!
All Bermudians can expect departure tax increases and all employees at the airport will likely suffer decreased wages under a Canadian “ownership” of our airport…or else, how will they make their money?
NOTHING wrong with our existing airport…band-aid approach is much better and if you are suggesting it will cost MORE to renovate the old building than it will to build a new building then you are feeding the people a bunch of lies! Let’s face it, the government is ESCAPING the costs and handing it over to a Canadian company. We are selling out Bermuda!
And, as I keep reiterating, where in the world do you have an airport located at the END of the runway????? Whoever suggested it doesn’t know what they are doing!
The planned new terminal won’t be at the end of runway, that would be stupid and against regulation. Have you ever even seen the airport terminal layout plans?
Can someone point me in the right direction on a report(s) on the cost of repairing the faults to the existing airport?
