Fairmont Southampton Features ‘Trees Of Hope’
Fairmont Southampton is embracing the true spirit of the holidays in aid of charity with its Trees of Hope initiative.
The resort is not only inviting the public to come up to look at the trees and vote for their favorite, but also offering a special rate to Bermuda residents for a festive ‘staycation’ at its Winter Wonderland.
A spokesperson said, “Twenty lavishly decorated Christmas Trees, sponsored by local businesses, were lit in the hotel lobby on November 23 and will continue to be displayed until New Year’s Eve.
“The initiative raised more than $20,000 – all event proceeds are benefitting The Family Centre in Bermuda to help strengthen local families and support systems to create a healthier Bermuda for its children.
“Employees from local business partners and Fairmont Southampton played Santa’s little helpers when individually decorating the trees, and enjoyed drinks, nibbles and fun activities for a good cause.”
“While the trees are being displayed, everyone in Bermuda is encouraged to get into the Christmas spirit and place a vote for their favorite tree decoration in the ballots which are placed in the hotel lobby.
“To invite all locals to spend a festive staycation at the resort’s Winter Wonderland, Bermuda’s largest resort is offering a special locals rate. All registered hotel guests can enjoy festive feasts and fun-filled activities to get guests in the spirit of the season.
“Fairmont Southampton celebrates the season with its 12 Days of Christmas schedule of daily hotel guest activities [starting December 23, 2016]. From cookie making and children’s activities in Santa’s Workshop to wine tasting and gingerbread house competitions to jolly jaunts and nature walks to seasonal spa experiences to Christmas caroling and Santa’s grand arrival to family foot golf and night golf to gala New Year’s Eve celebrations, the resorts offers holiday cheer to appeal to every member of the family.”
“The program includes limited spaces for a ferry excursion to the historic Royal Naval Dockyard, with a guided history & architectural walking tour. Royal Naval Dockyard will later be home to the America’s Cup Village, which is expected to become the beating heart of the 35th America’s Cup in May and June 2017.”
“Fairmont Southampton is connecting visitors to a breathtaking Bermuda experience. Resting on one of the highest points along Bermuda’s stunning south shore, the beach resort comprises nearly 100 acres and features soft, pink-sand beaches, turquoise waters, lush bougainvillea and towering coconut palms.:
“Culinary adventures await guests in ten different dining destinations, where they can indulge after a day at the full-service Willow Stream Spa or par-three, 18-hole championship Turtle Hill Golf Club.”
Special locals rates start from $179 per night per room. Call 239 6943 or contact SHP.reservations@Fairmont.com for more information.
