Motorcyclist Injured In Collision In Devonshire

A 32 year old Hamilton parish man was treated and discharged from the hospital following a two vehicle collision at the junction of South Road and Brighton Hill in Devonshire yesterday.

A police spokesperson said, “Around 4pm on Wednesday, November 2nd police and first responders were dispatched to a reported two vehicle collision at the junction of South Road and Brighton Hill in Devonshire.

“It appears that a car being driven along South Road collided with a motorcycle being ridden in the opposite direction as the car attempted to turn on to Brighton Hill.

“The motorcyclist, a 32 year old Hamilton parish man was taken to hospital via ambulance, treated for his injuries and later discharged.

“Both vehicles were damaged. However, no other injuries were reported.

“Inquiries continue and any witnesses should contact the main police telephone number 295-0011.

Two Other Collision Victims Recovering

“At last check this morning [Thursday, November 3rd] the 62 year old Warwick man seriously injured when the auxiliary cycle he was riding collided with a car on Marsh Folly Road in Pembroke around 8:53pm Friday, October 28th was continuing to recover in stable condition at the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.

“Likewise the 84 year old Paget woman seriously injured in a reported two car collision on South Road in Devonshire near the junction with Melville Crescent around 9:45pm Thursday, October 20th was continuing to recover in stable condition at the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.

“Inquiries regarding these collisions continue and any witnesses that have not already come forward should contact the main police telephone number 295-0011.”
