Mo’Nique Stevens was one of the designers featured at the Bermuda Fashion Collective Show held at the Bermuda Society of Arts at City Hall.

According to the event programme, ”Mo’Nique has always thrived on standing out when it comes to dressing. She began sewing 4 years ago, following in the footsteps of her grandmothers and mother whom she watched sew as a child. In 2010, as a new mother of two, she started a production company featuring fashion and local talent and soon after began designing. “My collection is inspired by the Victorian Era when clothes were seen as an expression of a women’s place in society. I have incorporated body suits and bodices, dramatic sleeves and low V-necks elaborated with velvet, chiffon, lace and cotton knit fabrics. It is slightly shabby chic but very sexy and ready-to-wear.”
