Sun Life Financial Charity Christmas Tree Event
A Christmas Tree event is set to assist the island’s charities with the sponsorship of Sun Life Financial, with funds raised to focus on “charities that help seniors.”
A spokesperson said, “We have purchased 12 Christmas Trees for these charities to decorate and display around the new extension of the Washington Mall. Charities will be selected on a first come first serve basis. The only criteria we ask is that they must be a registered charity.
“All prizes will be given in a donation towards the charity. First prize is $2,500, second prize is $1,000, and third prize is $750. There will also be a People’s Choice Award of $1,500 that the public gets to vote on.”
