Two Injured And Hospitalized After Collision

[Updated] Two people were transported to hospital tonight [Nov 15] following a collision on North Shore Road in the vicinity of Shelly Bay field, which appears to have involved a motorcyclist and a pedestrian.

A police spokesperson said, “Around 6:10pm on Tuesday, November 15th police and first responders were dispatched to a reported collision on North Shore Road in Hamilton parish in the vicinity of Shelly Bay field, apparently involving a motorcyclist and a pedestrian.

“Details remain limited at this time. However, initial information suggests that there were no serious injuries.

“Traffic was said to be temporarily diverted away from the scene, but normal traffic flow in the area has since resumed.”

Update Nov 16, 12.47pm: A police spokesperson said, “Around 6:10pm on Tuesday, November 15th police and first responders were dispatched to a reported collision on North Shore Road in Hamilton parish near the junction with Radnor Road.

“Initial information suggested that the collision involved a motorcyclist and a pedestrian.

“However, it has since been confirmed that a motorcyclist and a pedal cyclist were actually involved, in the vicinity of Shelly Bay field.

“The motorcyclist, a 35 year old St. George’s woman and the pedal cyclist, a 51 year old Hamilton parish man, were injured and taken to hospital via ambulance for treatment.

“The St. George’s woman was later discharged, while at last check the Hamilton parish man was recovering in stable condition on a general ward.”
