7 Hours Of Live Video Replays: Protest At House

December 4, 2016

Following Friday’s protest — which multiple people called a “sad day” for the island — the police said they “are reviewing video footage to identify offenders with a view to preparing files for the DPPs review,” while the PLP called for an investigation into why the police “dosed pepper spray indiscriminately into a crowd.”

    Great job Police.
Gives a new meaning to when push comes to shove.

Lucky it was not a baton charge.

Stoopid people had plenty of warnings.
They chose to ignore and defy the law.

Were not Libya or Syria yet but it’s being fuel’d by some…..

    • Ben says:

      You’re a monster supporting monsters.

      • JohnBoy says:

If someone is blocking my house or car and I ask politely and repeatedly to move and you choose to stay, I have no remorse for what happens next to you. The reason why you are there is totally irrelevant.

      • Terry says:

        Ben.
Your about to make millions in the coming years or loose it all at Union Square.
Copy this to your Christmas cards to family with no stamps.

    • Onion Juice says:

So just let de Government do what they want to do and when de PEOPLE object, force them with legistic Bull S!@# and military tactics to subdue them, well you did mention Libya and Syria.
Dont forget about South Africa while you’re at it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

      • Don'tbeamoron says:

        Who are “the people”?

A bunch of babies having tantrums when they don’t get their way? Who says they represent the majority?

These protests have Nothing to do with the airport. The PLP shepherds are herding their sheep to cause as much trouble as possible.

Look at any of the Facebook pages. They cropped the picture of the officer S pepper spraying the crowd to show only the certain officer. Ask. Yourself why. Ok – so you don’t like the pepper spray incident – so you pin it on only one of the two officers? No mention of the fella hitting the cops with his umbrella. Why? Because it doesn’t fit their agenda.

      • Up D hill says:

Hey they are the Government fool get over it you and your mob of law breakers are nothing but thugs !!! Lock um up and fine the beJesus out of um!!! And I could care less about SA nothing to do with this plp , biu and your bs!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • ken says:

OBA NEED TO FORCE THE UNIONS INTO REVEALING THEIR FINANCIALS……THEIR MEMBERS DESERVE TO KNOW WHERE THEIR DUES AND PENSION MONEYS HAVE BEEN SPENT ON….

    • Omari says:

10 things I have learned over the past few days:

1 This was not a peaceful protest. Watch the clip, the crowd of 30 or so moves forward when the riot police move in, this is a football crowd intent on trouble.

2 One of the leaders, Derrick Burgess talks of people ‘bringing ammunition’. To a peaceful protest.

3 The officer probably didn’t need to use pepper spray.

4 But I was brought up to respect the law, and if I was told to move back, I would.

5 If a senior citizen (at the front of a melee) got hurt or sprayed, well what the hell was she doing ther in the first place? Too bad.

      6 Jason Hayward, eh?

7 Bus drivers, dockers, hang your head in shame. Why do you need to walk out? christmas trees were not delivered, kids didn’t get home from school….all because you wanted a day off?

8 Do any of the protesters really have a clue on the airport issues, or just want the OBA out?

9 This only deflects the real issues, why won’t Ewart Brown take the stand?

10 This was hangbags. Let Ewart Brown defend the accusations against him. Then the real fun begins.

    • Onion Juice says:

Its gonna take more then that, like Bae bae’s kids We dont die we multiply

  2. ImJustSayin says:

Well done Police. Terry you’re an idiot.

    • Onion Juice says:

Terry you are an @$$ #@£€, laws are in place for a reason but some were made to disadvantage de the oppressed, but when de oppressed have no other option ……….just like Slave Revolts, Civil Rights and NOW people will defy the law to be HEARD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

      • WIDH says:

        are you for real?

defy the law to be heard about……. the commercial terms of an airport development?

you are seriously comparing that to slavery?

Holy moly Bermuda we are in trouble!

      • Terry says:

You know not of what you speak Onion Juice.
        You don’t know me.
I paraphrase when I mention the other countries because I have been there done that.
I know a threat and design buy watching it unfold in Bermuda as can be seen here and on other outlets.

This has nothing to do with slaves or oppressed.

This is about trying to change a government and take power back because so many live beyond their means and got used to it during the 14 years of the PLP. There I said it and it’s in print. You want audio too?

Using old 50′s/60′s rebels and the same W &E guy with the white goatee all the time.

        Shalom.

Great job Police. A hundred times told to move.

Your weak just like the rest Onion. Did you get tazerd yday before yesterday or sprayed?

  3. JohnBoy says:

As I was always told as a child “if you can’t hear, you will feel!”. It’s not a race thing, it’s a hardheaded thing.

  4. Ben says:

Having enough money to afford an internet connection is great, isn’t it? You’re free to twist, distort, and outright lie about what actually occurred on December 3, and never have to worry about the majority who are too poor to post online about what they saw first-hand. Even if they managed to squeak a few words in from a public computer, you’ll all be there to bully and mock them until they never dare set foot inside an online forum again.

    • iuj says:

“You’re free to twist, distort, and outright lie about what actually occurred on December 3…”

… I mean, just follow my lead! A guy with his own avatar wouldn’t tell a fib.

  5. NO MORE WAR says:

Let this go. There does seem to be some shadiness with this airport deal. I don’t see what the outcome will be placing people before the courts. The court system is a joke anyway and will more than likely give conditional or absolute discharges. Most of those people probably don’t even have a criminal record. Think before you act BPS. Don’t feed into public opinions calls for prosecution of those that blocked the entrances. Let it go. Next time do proper warnings before you decide to charge in. That’s what PA systems are for.

    • Godgfdgdsg says:

Lock all law breakers up. They need the time to calm down and reflect in isolation on what is right and just. When they are ready to act properly then let them out to participate in peaceful protest.

  6. wahoo says:

Burgess needs to give the names of those who have weapons. If you know something say something.

    • Onion Juice says:

If you know something say something!!!!!!!!
Well lets start with de airport information.
      LMFAO

      • wahoo says:

Wanted to hear about it but the DEBATE was shut down illegally you pin head.

      • Up D hill says:

No OJ let’s start with 800 million !! Never forget what your “people” did to my Island !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  7. Glenda R. says:

    Is this real?
Never thought I would read so much hate between Bermudians!!! Sad…

  8. CPM says:

Already, companies are rethinking their plans to domicile here
We are becoming a laughing stock due to Birt and the afternoon plp show
Some of us are showing no regard for the rule of law and hiding behind seniors and children
How does a certain someone get away with incorrectly naming a police officer as the person who ordered pepper spray-he should be sued for pain and distress to this officer’s family

  9. van martin says:

The protesters had their own way for a long time. They got away with obstruction last March but not this time. Self entitlement seems to have set in with some Bermudians feeling it’s fine to break the law.
IMO the protest was righteous and I agree with what the protesters were protesting about. I don’t agree that they had the right to block access to Parliament – or anywhere else for that matter. Perhaps the Leaders of the protest should not have encouraged the protesters when they tried to clear the gate. It wasn’t very smart. If you screw with the cops, you get the horns.

By the way: THE MAJORITY OF ALL BERMUDIANS DO NOT SUPPORT THE BLOCKING OF ACCESS TO PARLIAMENT!

  10. God says:

    To all of my Children:

This is about weak minded, easily led, lambs in your community trying to mess up Bermuda and they are using their numbers
    The answer?

God commands that you privatize all essential services including trash collection, transport, public works, etc. before they try to hold the Americas Cup at ransom, and by doing as I command you, this will put the thugs out of work or in the Church where they must go, and where they will have time to learn and reflect on my lesson which is to be fearful of a vengeful God and obey my commands!

Let me predict that the tsunami is coming and Noah will have no room on the ark for you once everything is privatized. Then only the man who has love and honesty in his heart may earn an honest days pay and everyone else will be cast to the wind to lament to God and ask forgiveness for their evil and unjust ways!

You may ignore God but do so at your peril.
    So endeth the lesson.
    God

  11. Susie says:

    Disgraceful!!

  12. There is far too much hateful dialogue here. So many people are hurting and the race card needs to stop!! Its not the color of the skin that is being hateful, its the hearts of men. Far too long we have hurt our brothers n sisters. Hurt people hurt people!! Its a shame that others downed tools at the expense of our children. Its no wonder our children are out of hand, who else do they have to look up to but shameful disrespectful adults who think they can control the island with their hateful ways and threats. Maybe God should go on strike and cut off rain, sunshine, breeze, food supply, and the air that we breathe.

    • JUNK YARD DOG says:

All of our people know what it is like to have a 30 year mortgage, the banks own you.

The only real things that have lasted 30 years and more around are Fort st Catherine ;Fort Scaur and H.M. Dockyard.
By the way, we are now on K.E.M.H. hospital number three.

If you think you are going to get 100 years out of the place you are dreaming. more like 13.

You know that they want to build on a swamp .

Who is going to re build Government house and the Parliament building.

Don’t ask ! It will be the C.C.C. & the Canadians who want to get both feet in the door.

      Nothing, is ever FREE !
