Bermuda’s Top 50 Twitter List For January 2017

It appears that Twitter is finally going to let people edit their tweets.

One of the major annoyances of the social media platform is not being able to correct mistakes or typos in tweets once they are sent leaving users no choice but to either let it stand or delete the tweet and redo it.

Twitter’s CEO, Jack Dorsey, said his company is “thinking a lot about” allowing an editing function. Last Thursday he asked users “What’s the most important thing you want to see Twitter improve or create in 2017?” And many users hammered home the need for an editing function.

Other requests from users include more protection from trolls and a way to bookmark or save more important tweets.

In Bermuda, Triathlete Flora Duffy’s three world championships has seen her have a net gain of more than 50% more Twitter followers over the past year.

So much so, Duffy leapfrogged past fellow Bermudian triathlete Tyler Butterfield in the Bermuda Twitter Rankings into 32nd place.

There was only one change in the top 20 with Chubb moving into 17th place past Forbes journalist Clare O’Connor. We are Bermuda had the biggest jump as they moved up six places to 30th.
