BNT Nature Walk Postponed Due To Weather
Thee Children’s Nature Walk originally scheduled for tomorrow [Feb 16] has been postponed until March 30 due to forecasted inclement weather.
A Bermuda National Trust spokesperson said, “It comes with great disappointment that we will have to postpone the Children’s Nature Walk organized for tomorrow to the 30th of March.
“The weather forecast for tomorrow morning states that we will be having gale force winds with gusts up to 50 knots. It will be too windy to hear the experts, the bird experts will get salt spray all over their binoculars and we will have slippery pathways which will cause danger to all participants.
“Overall we think that you will not have an exciting and nice experience. I am so sorry as we have 177 people registered and we usually get a few drop-ins too.
“I hope you all will be able to join us on March 30th when we predict a larger number of migratory birds at the pond and the Longtails will have returned to the island.
“Thank you all for your tremendous interest in this event. We and our sponsor ARCH Re appreciate it very much.”
