Sargento Shredded Cheese Products Recalled

The Ministry of Health and Seniors is advising the public that two additional Sargento shredded cheese products are now subject to recall in addition to Sargento Nacho & Taco shredded cheese with a sell by date of June 14, 2017, due to a potential risk of Listeria contamination.

A Government spokesperson said, “Further to a related release dated 22 February, The Ministry of Health and Seniors is advising the public that two additional Sargento shredded cheese products are now subject to recall in addition to Sargento Nacho & Taco shredded cheese with a sell by date of 14 June 2017.

“These are Sargento Chef Blends 4 Cheese Pizzeria, 8 oz. UPC 4610041105a Sell By Date of H10APR17 and Sargento Artisan Blends Double Cheddar Shredded Cheese, 8oz, UPC 4610040094, Sell By Dates H09JUN17 and H08JUN17.

“The recall is due to a potential risk of Listeria contamination. Customers who find any of these products in their refrigerator should discard them or return the product[s] to the store of purchase for a refund.”
