Bermuda ‘Nitro Racing’ Second Round Results

The second round of the  Bermuda Nitro Racing 2017 Spring Nationals was held on Sunday. This is a three race series, and also served as the eleventh race of the 2016/2017 seasons. There were 15 racers taking part.

The results of the A Main Buggy:

  • 1st – Kwa-Z Dill driving his Mugen Seiki Racing MBX7R.
  • 2nd – Anthony Bell driving the Hotbodies
  • 3rd – Joe Valadao driving the Team Associated

Taking First Place in the A Main and Top Qualifier for the fifth straight week was Kwa-Z Dill. This is his 8th win of the season and his 9th TQ. In second place was Anthony Bell. This is his third second place finish of the season, he also has one race win and two third places finishes this season. In third place was Joe Valadao. This is his second third place finish of the season, and he has one second place finish.

The results of the B Main Buggy:

  • 1st – Aaron Deshield driving the Losi Eight 4.0
  • 2nd – Dejaun Paynter driving the Hotbodies
  • 3rd – Lothar Gores driving the XRay XB8

Aaron Deshield and Dejaun Paynter bumped to the A Main as a result of the B Main finish.

The AKA Racing – A Main Season Standings

  • 1st Kwa-Z Dill
  • 2nd Keimon Lawrence
  • 3rd Quincy Aberdeen
  • 4th Joe Valadao
  • 5th Aaron Deshield

Positions remain unchanged from the previous week, however, the point gaps has tightened up. There is only 18 points separating second place and fifth place.

In the AKA Racing – B Main Season Standings

  • 1st Steven Fox
  • 2nd Lothar Gores
  • 3rd Jason Venning
  • 4th Curtis Richardson
  • 5th Dejaun Paynter

Positions have been shuffled around. Derrick Augustus has dropped out of the top 5, and Dejaun Paynter is now in fifth place.

Spring Nationals Standings

  • 1st Kwa-Z Dill
  • 2nd tie between Timer Maybury and Anthony Bell

In the Truggy Race, there were 5 Truggies racing with the final positions determined using a qualifying points system.

The finishing positions for the Truggies were:

  • 1st – Quincy Aberdeen driving the Agama A215T
  • 2nd – Aaron Deshield driving the Losi 4.0
  • 3rd – Jonathan Davis driving the Mugen Seiki MBX7T

The Spring Nationals Standings for Truggy are:

  • 1st Quincy Aberdeen
  • 2nd Aaron Deshield
  • 3rd tie between Steven Fox and Jonathan Davis

The third race of the three race Spring Nationals will be held on March 19, 2017.
