BPW To Host Scholarship Brunch On Sunday
The Business and Professional Women’s Association of Bermuda [BPW Bermuda] continues to celebrate International Women’s Day throughout the month of March, saying that BPW Bermuda will be attending the 11:00 Church service at Christ Church Devonshire on Sunday, 19 March.
Following the service, BPW Bermuda will be hosting a Scholarship Brunch at 12:30pm at Henry VIII’s in Southampton. The brunch serves as a chance to honour their two Dame Marjorie Bean Scholarship awardees, Kelly Madeiros and Tamisha Greene.
The brunch will also feature information from BPW Bermuda President Kimberley D. Caines recent visit to the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women 61.
Ms. Caines said “I am delighted to honour our two scholarship awardees on Sunday. The aim of this scholarship is to provide assistance to women who pursue continuing education to reach their career goals; this is a clear objective of BPW Bermuda.
“Additionally I have been extremely inspired by all the programs and efforts I have seen in my work with the UN this week and I am excited to share the initiatives we can start in our chapter to benefit working women here in Bermuda.”
