Philharmonic Society To Host ‘Spring Prelude’

March 4, 2017

The Bermuda Philharmonic Society will be holding a concert on Sunday [March 5] at City Hall, saying the concert will feature “all strings music, sumptuous, lyrical and food for the soul.”

A spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Philharmonic is back! After a long absence we are coming back to life, with a fabulous concert this coming Sunday March 5th at 7pm, at Earl Cameron Hall in City Hall.

“The program is all strings music, sumptuous, lyrical and food for the soul. We’ll be playing Gershwin, Sibelius, Parry, Mendelssohn and Britten. If you are new to classical music, come out and have a taste – we think you’ll love it! Proceeds will go to the Geoffrey Tankard Scholarship Fund to support the upcoming musical generation.

“Tickets are $25 for adults and $15 for students and seniors. They can be purchased online at www.ptix.bm, at The Harbourmaster, and at the door with cash.

“As musicians we are dedicated to reviving this ensemble to provide Bermuda with it’s very own high quality orchestral music for all of us to share, and to inspire generations to come. Music is everyone’s language, to share and enjoy. We invite you, as audience and as players, to join us.”
