Video: Overview Of Changes At Horseshoe Bay
The parking area at Horseshoe Bay Beach is being renovated in order to avoid flooding, and allow better access in general to locals and tourists.
A CITV public service announcement regarding the ongoing work has text panels with said, “The Horseshoe Bay parking area has several problems.”
“Tourists must walk down the hill and walk back up again, because the buses cannot turn around in the parking area. Heavy pedestrian traffic makes access difficult for emergency vehicles. The parking area floods during severe weather.
“The new parking area will include a large drainage system. A treelined boardwalk with a viewing deck to facilitate pedestrian access. New parking area will be the same size as the old one. Date of completion on May 1st.””
