Photos: BFRS Extinguish Turk’s Head Lane Fire
[Updated with video] The Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service responded to a fire at Turk’s Head Lane in Devonshire this afternoon [July 14], with three vehicles and ten personnel on scene.
The BFRS said, “The Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service responded to a structural fire at Turk’s Head Lane today, Friday, July 14, 2017 at approximately 2:07pm.
“We received multiple calls regarding this incident with the initial caller reporting ‘there is a lot of smoke and flames seen in the vicinity of Demco’.
Fire Service spokesperson, Acting Lieutenant Russann Francis said, “The Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service responded to a fire which consumed two sheds and all of their contents and an area of trees approximately 50′ x 20′.
“We responded to the incident with three vehicles and ten personnel. Four firefighters dressed in breathing apparatus extinguished the fire using dual attack lines and approximately 3,000 gallons of water.
“There were no injuries at this incident. An investigation into the fire will commence momentarily as personnel are continuing to wet down various hot spots of the area.”
