Stolen 21ft Boat Retrieved After Being Adrift

A 21ft Mako was retrieved on Tuesday [Aug 29] after being adrift off Deep Bay, Pembroke, with the owner saying he “was glad to have his vessel back and reporting “that it had been stolen along with other items onboard.”

A Bermuda Maritime Operations Centre spokesperson said, “Tuesday 29th August, 6:52am. Bermuda Maritime Operations Centre is contacted by a member of the public reporting a 21ft Mako adrift off Deep Bay, Pembroke.

“Marine & Ports line boat ‘Inspector’ is dispatched to retrieve the vessel which is secured in Dockyard a short while later.

“While the owner was glad to have his vessel back, he reported that it had been stolen along with other items onboard, and intended on making a formal complaint with Police.”
