Support Group Profiles Added To BMHF Website
The Bermuda Mental Health Foundation [BMHF] has recently updated its website to include profiles on local, international, and online support groups, including groups that offer services for mental illness and “all types of health related issues that require support, various resources, and information.”
A spokesperson said, “On July 24, 2017 the Bermuda Mental Health Foundation hosted a lecture event entitled “You Are Not Alone” featuring keynote speaker, Chanelle Lawson, along with local speakers Chris Gibbons, Winston Rogers, Susan Thomas and Jason Iris.
“The audience overwhelmingly expressed a need to have a central location that lists all of the support groups both locally and internationally so that members of the public can have easier access to information.
“The Bermuda Mental Health Foundation would like to announce that it has recently updated their website to include profiles on local, international and online support groups.
“These support group profiles not only include groups that offer services for mental illness but all types of health related issues that require support, various resources and information.
“The Foundation has recognized that members of the public may benefit from having access to agencies or groups abroad, therefore the new page includes international sources for support in locations such as England, the United States and Canada.
“If you need help finding additional off island support groups or specific support groups that you do not see listed, please do not hesitate to contact the Foundation.
“If you or someone you know has or attends a support group that we do not currently have listed on our updated website, please do not hesitate to contact us so that we may include it, as well as if there is any missing information on a currently listed group.
