[Updated with photos] The 2017 Police Week – which celebrates 138 years of policing in Bermuda — kicked off at the Police Field in Prospect this morning [Sept 30] with the Police Gymkhana being held.

Police Week will continue with a service to remember those we’ve lost at 5:30pm on Sunday 1st October at the Police Cemetery on Alexandra Road, Devonshire, and following the ceremony, a sunset performance by the Halton Regional Police Service Pipes and Drums along with Bermuda Island Pipe Band and the Somerset Brigade Band, will be held at Police Headquarters. Other events scheduled for the week include the Seniors Tea, Police Dynamic Display Day, the Police Ball and more.
